Gerbera Daisy

I made this fun-to-make gerber daisy from the Saru's Flowers font, and the sun design from the Punch Dings dingbat font. They are so real looking - love it!

Laura, I am just starting with the Cricut because I am unable to punch my flowers any longer. Where would I find the punch dingbat font? I just love making 3d flowers. I really like daisys. I really linke your blog. I hope one day to start one when I get a little bit more instruction.

Linda - you are so sweet to encourage me! Whoops... I meant to tell where to get the punch dings font in the body of the post - better go back and do that. I forgot where I'd got it from, so when I just went looking, I found it at one of the BEST sites on paper-crafting with a cutter: Clever Someday. You can find the font (and LOTS of other goodies) here: http://cleversomeday.wordpress.com/2009/02/02/a-new-font-from-old-shapes/

If you type 'dingbat fonts" into a search engine, you can find a ton. One of the best sites I have found is scrappingtable.com. She has tons of different types of dingbats (see the Bun in the Oven box below for the link.) There is also an online dingbat font character map printer at: http://www.beckymelton.com/dingbatmap.htm, so that you can print out your dingbats, keep them in a notebook, and refer to the charts to know which letter produces which design. Hope this helps.
If I can help with your blog, just let me know. It's easy to set one up.
